Kelly to perform in NYC's Breast Cancer Walk · Oct 19, 2008

On Sunday, October 19, Kelly will be performing in NYC as part of the Breast Cancer Walk in NYC! Here's the blog where she mentions the event:

This Weekend

The Three Graces trip to New Zealand was cancelled unfortunately.... So I am in New York this weekend performing at the Breast Cancer walk in NYC on sunday the 19 at 12 and 1.. Its going to be a great day, so come and show support and help be a part in fighting breast cancer!!!

Central Park - 72 street entrance and Central Park West
at the Shell theatre outdoors!!
Performers are there to support all those walking!!!!

I will be going to this. I hope others can come too because this is a great cause to support! :cheer:

Hey everyone. Today was a really fun day. I'm super tired right now so I'll post a report and pics later on tonight. But it was really great hearing Kelly perform. :cheer:

Okay I got to Central Park around 11:30am. I've been to Central Park a few times but honestly didn't know where this theater was. The park is so huge. :lol: :lol: So I just decided to walk around until I found my way. Then I heard music so I just followed the music and soon found the Shell Theater :lol: Then I saw Kelly from a distance and approached her. It was great seeing her again Then I found out she was singing with the Madison Avenue Jammers, a group that performs at various charity events like the Breast Cancer Walk. Her father is in the band too which I thought was very cool. We chatted and then another Gracette Eline came. It was nice meeting her. Eline, if you're reading this, I remember chatting with you before now. :lol: :lol: :lol: Then a bit after 12:30 I think, the band went on stage. Kelly sang solo on two songs: Respect and Feel Like a Natural Woman. I got Respect on video and then my camera went crazy when I was recording Feel Like a Natural Woman. I only got like the last 5 seconds of the song. :lol: :lol: :lol: But Kelly sounded great. This was the first time I heard her sing solo and she was AMAZING! All together the entire performance was about an hour. At least I think it was that long. :lol: Most of the members sang lead for different songs. Kelly was singing in the background when others were singing lead. After the show, a good number of people were approaching her telling her how great she sounded. People were really blown away while she was singing. I think she has some new fans. :cheer: :cheer: We chatted a bit after the show was over and then Eline and I left. So that's about it. I have pictures but photobucket and tinypic are being a real pain. I think it's because of my computer. It's so slow. ugh So tomorrow when I'm at school, I'll upload the photos and videos.

Next time take a megaphone and scream for Kelly :lol: :lol: :lol:

U saw Eline?? Oh, great... yeah, she is in New York working on some songs (Girl, where are u... come share with us everything ) Oh great songs from a great singer and performed by a great voice!! But i thought she will perform some of her songs

nah, just kidding... it's a great country... much more developed than Portugal... but i love my gorgeous little country U can always come here... we don't have Kelly/TG's but we have Zé Cabra
