- For everyone who's still interested...
As you know Joy was here for the Le French May fest, performing for 3 days which 8th and 10th May were the Opera Gala and 9th the Musical.
I went to both Opera Gala and Musical Gala (8th and 9th), and the Opera one is obviously better than the Musical one... probably because they're all opera singers. They basically didn't have time to take a good look at Hong Kong, they landed, had a couple of brief rehearsals then Joy said they're terribly jetlag and they flew back to NYC the day after, "to figure out more jetlags", as she said when I talked to her at the backstage. LOL
It was two nice shows. The opera was really nice to a beginner like me... I was trying to determine if I like opera or not, since I'm a musical fanatic. Joy sang a few songs from La Boheme and she was Mimi! LOL The musical was not as good... but still pleasant. Joy only sang 2 songs in this show, not much of her there. and OH! Her two dresses were fabulous! Photography is strictly prohibited so I couldn't get pics of them, sorry mellow.gif
She's quite nice, a bit taken aback that someone's there for her at the backstage, then when we told her we are divo fans she kinda rolled her eyes jokingly and said she'd smell il divo fans anywhere Got a couple of autographs and I told her I'm giving them away to some of her fans and she was happy about it.
I did a bootleg of the musical gala, I'll upload should anyone feel interested.
meanwhile here are some pictures.
