Crean un pop inteligente

Las chicas de Three Graces ofrecen una nueva cara no sólo al género del pop, sino también al de la ópera y en Broadway.

Como una propuesta nueva y diferente en la industria define Three Graces su concepto musical, con el que han logrado darle una nueva cara no sólo al género del pop, sino también al de la ópera y el Broadway.

No se trata de sacrificar ninguno de estos estilos, dijeron, para darles un aire más comercial, simplemente “al fusionarlos, los estamos modificando y haciéndolos más flexibles para crear una nueva fuerza musical”.

Joy Kabanuck, Kelly Levesque y Sara Gettelfinger, integrantes de este trío que aspira a alcanzar las cualidades de belleza, sabiduría y carisma de las musas griegas, comentaron que la fusión de los géneros que cada una ha manejado a lo largo de su carrera, les ha permitido crear lo que ellas llaman “un pop inteligente”.

“El pop es cíclico, tiene diferentes etapas y este concepto es algo nuevo en la industria. Es un pop combinado con elementos de la ópera y el broadway, que lo hacen único.

“Yo crecí con el pop -confesó Kelly-, pero al combinarlo con estos géneros me pareció una forma inteligente de hacer pop”.

A pregunta expresa sobre la similitud que su música puede tener con la propuesta del cuarteto Il divo, consideraron que no hay punto de comparación.

“Adoramos a Il Divo y para nosotras es lindo que nos consideren la versión femenina de este concepto, pero nosotras somos un poco más pop y hacemos menos covers.

“Lo que sí tenemos en común con ellos son las voces y la forma de interpretar, que es muy potente”.

Sara intervino para manifestar que, a su parecer, “lo que este disco ofrece es algo nuevo en la música y espero que la gente tenga la mente bien abierta para aceptar esta fusión de géneros”.

A su vez, Kelly se puso como ejemplo para señalar que nunca había escuchado la ópera ni el Broadway, “pero me encantó cuando escuché el resultado, y para mí es como abrir la puerta a quienes no conocen todos los estilos de la música y pueden disfrutarlos a través de nuestra propuesta”.

"Pop is ciclic, has different stages and this concept is new in Music Industry, is Pop mixed with Opera and Broadway, which makes it different and unique".

"I grew up with pop - Kelly confessed - but mixing it with these other styles i think it's a way for Making a clever pop".

To a straight question to the similar characteristics that their music may has to the proposition of the quartet Il Divo, the Graces said there's not point to compare.

"We love Il Divo and for us is great that we are considerated the female version of their concept, but we make much more pop and less covers".

"What we do have in common with them are the voices and the way to sing, that is strong".

Sara said that, on her point of view "what this album is trying to offer is something new in Music and I hope people are open minded to receive this fusion of styles".

Also, Kelly said that she had never heard Opera or Broadway by her own, but when " I listened to the result [of their album], I loved it and for me is like to open the doors to those ones who don't know these styles of music and can enjoy them by our music".
