Question? What do you get when you mix Broadway, pop music, and opera? Bro-p-era gezundheit actually, you get Three Graces a female vocal trio who's boldly going where few acts have gone before.
The Three Graces, Ginger Grace, Baby Grace and Posh Grace, as we like to call them, dropped by the Deco celebrity garden. Actually, they're Joy, Kelly and Sara and it was their individual styles that brought them together a little over a year ago.
Joy: "The three of us were working with the record company individually and they thought it would be an interesting idea to get us together and see what it would be like to mix our different genres. I'm from the opera world, Kelly's from the pop world and Sara's done several Broadway shows."
The ladies were careful not to lose their own identities while creating the group.
Sara: "I think we've done a beautiful job of combining our three backgrounds and maintaining that individuality in the sound, but also having a signature sound that is the three of us."
It took a lot of hours singing in the studio to get that sound, but when they got it, the three Gs knew it.
Kelly: "We got to this one song it's our first single it's called I Wish, and it just happened i don't know how i don't know why, but it just clicked you know you got a sense of the opera, the Broadway and the pop and it just meahed and jelled together and it was magic."
See, there's nothing to be afraid of now, how about that name?...
Sara: "In Roman mythology there were the characters of the Three Graces and they were three muses that embodied beauty charm and wisdom most often demonstrated through song. So we figured that was about right for the three of us."
Guess the muse of humility was out of town you can decide for yourself. If Joy, Kelly and Sara have accomplished their goal, their tour kicks off tomorrow night at the Hard Rock Live, where they're opening for British singing sensation Paul Potts.
